Ben Stiller makes his directorial debut in the film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, bringing at the same time, a memorable performance in relation to the roles of simple mood in which was so comfortable so far. Mitty is a man slightly less than average, with technical work that has locked up all day in a photographic cabin for a newspaper in which all think they are too important. One day, the newspaper decides to say goodbye to the printed version and migrate to the digital format. Mitty is holding the series to which belongs the latest cover, except for a problem: the image in question has disappeared from his negatives wallet. A troubled Mitty understands that his work and honor are at stake and starts a journey, both inner and physical to retrieve the image that will change the rest of his life.Walter Mitty is, in a sense, an ordinary man with dreams, fears and feelings, he wants to be the hero of his life, a life of adventure whose chances are minimal. The story of Walter Mitty is a parable about the power of imagination and the will, is a small epic of everyday life for ordinary people who see the days pass without great deeds, because those great deeds are potentially contained within ourselves.
It is worth mentioning that The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is a second cinematographic adaptation (the first was in 1947) by the eponymous 1939 story by James Thurber.
