FILM: NORTE, THE END OF HISTORY

Norte, the end of history was first shown in the selection Un Certain Régard at Festival de Cannes, in 2013, is a Filipino film directed by independent filmmaker Lav Diaz. This film adaptation of the literary classic Crime and Punishment, written by Fedor Dostoyevsky, explores themes of class conflict, family, murder, among others. The story focuses on the lives of three characters from the consequences detonated by the killing committed by one of them.

The film lasts just over four hours and is a long range and large format cinematic landscape.
