FILM: FIRST COUSIN ONCE REMOVED

The film First Cousin Once Removed, addresses and documents the life and health of the poet Edward Honig, creating a portrait of his life with the same honesty that resonates in his poetry, which he wrote for a lifetime of tragedy, love, losses, irony and literary talent. The film, shot over five years in which the director visited the poet many times, talked with his children, ex-wife, friends and alumni, chronicles the changes suffered by Honig, using archival footage, family photos, home movies, poetry readings, looking visual metaphors that help us better understand the process of memory loss suffered by the poet, because of Alzheimer.
