FASHION EDITORIALS: THE TWENTIES

A fashion editorial is a story told photographically. A series of photos related to each expressing a concept, an idea or a trend that is transmitted. No plans to sell the clothes , it’s a form of expression that is often used for inspiration. The glitz and glamor of the twenties expressed in editorials Paris Je t’aime, Stardust by Steven Meisel, Tanzt, Tanzt by Sebastian Kim and Annes Folles by Lane Oliveri. Fashion is retaking the best of the past decades to fill nostalgic now clearly in the collections of various designers, as if somehow pay tribute to the legendary Coco Chanel.

Almost 94 years later, established designers are reinterpreting the twenties, giving a personal touch and creating new trends. In 2012, Gucci used art deco references with geometric, Egyptians and Aztecs motifs and exotic influences.  Ralph Lauren opted for light colors, pastels, gauze and low waists and loose feathers. Last year, Tiffany & CO. was responsible for making jewelry and headpieces for the movie The Great Gatsby.
