Technology has modernized many areas of our life, and education is no exception. Schools currently have digital resources to improve the performance of students and teachers, you know, laptops, tablets, gadgets, apps, online lessons and the Internet in general.
However, modernization of facilities has lagged behind, do not you think? Actually, there are few global examples of architects looking forward to this, and one of them is Thomas Heatherwick.
Together with the group of architects CPG Consultants, Thomas Heatherwick created The Learning Hub at Nanyang Technological University. This project involves 12 towers capable of accommodating 33,000 students on campus. Its spectacular and organic design contrasts with the surrounding city, and strikes a balance between the artificial and the natural.
