The museum Guggenheim Bilbao presents a retrospective of Brazilian sculptor Ernesto Neto, titled The body that carries me. The artist reworked his works to suit them in the unique museum spaces. Neto conceives his works that can be traversed, inhabited, felt and even smelled, allowing the viewer to experience their own body, their senses and their mind through the artwork. “We are constantly receiving information, but I want this to be a place where we stop thinking, where we take refuge in art. I think that not thinking is healthy; it’s like breathing life itself”, says the artist quoted by the Guggenheim Bilbao. The exhibition features over 50 works created since the 90s until today. The body that carries me will be open until May 18.
