Edible Growth is an ongoing project, created by food designer Chloé Rutzerveld, which mixes food, gardening and 3D printing. The central idea is an especially printed outer coating, made from a dough containing “edible soil” and seeds. Once printed, seeds and fungi take a few days to germinate.
The design of Rutzerveld is only an ongoing project, and would involve several years of research, about 3D printing technology and food safety issues.
