The Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo (Contemporary Art University Museum), presents Defying stability. Artistic processes in Mexico 1952-1967, an exhibition that presents a new perspective on the artistic production from 1952 to 1967 in our country, a period which is highlighted by a dynamic and complex time, opened in the cultural field and an accelerated process of modernization in the city. It is a historiographical review, emphasizing partnerships that significantly shaped the artistic production in Mexico. To date, there has not been an exercise in a multidisciplinary manner linking the diverse artistic and cultural manifestations in relation to economic and social processes in the country.
A step in which were generated the most innovative movements of the national art scene and which gained prominence in emblematic spaces for artistic propagation. Where a generation of creators, revolutionized the visual arts, architecture, literature, music, cinema and theater, from new interdisciplinary strategies as well as bold, critical and playful proposals.
