CORMIER INTERVENTION IN DE VILLE

This work is a temporary pop design by the French artist and urban architect Claude Cormier. He was invited by the Commissioner of Claude Gosselin Pergola of Hotel de Ville in Le Havre, France, in the framework of the First Biennial of Contemporary Art in Le Havre, where Claude Monet lived, taking clear inspiration from Impressionism. This installation consists of 90,000 plastic balls in five different colors. In the words of the designer: “The Impressionist eye here articulates a basic palette of five colors spread across thousands of strands of fine Christmas balls.”
