Chanel’s elegance is timeless. The talented Gabrielle, aka known as Coco reinvented women’s fashion. Orphan of humble origins, at 20 years she sewed at day and sang at night in a bar. It that place she was baptized as”Coco”, because of the melody she often sang. Qui qu’a vu Coco dans le Trocadéro? [Who has seen Coco in the Trocadéro?] It was thanks to Boy Capel, the love of her life, that she decided to make of the seam her profession. In 1921, after an arduous collaboration with the perfume czar Beau Ernest, she created her iconic fragrance Chanel No. 5. At the beginning of WWII, Coco took refuge in Switzerland. After the war she returned to Paris with 71 years, and presented her first catwalk at her store at the Rue Cambon 31, where she offered clothing, both sober, elegant and in dark colors, but with details and gemstones. Coco Chanel died on Sunday January 10, 1971.
