CHRISTIAN BOLTANSKI: FLYING BOOK

I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library. Jorge Luis Borges

The ancient National Library in Buenos Aires, was selected to be the place where a tribute done by Christian Boltanski to the writer Jorge Luis Borges would be carried out. The French artist created an installation called Flying Books, which consists in 500 suspended books, flying and subtle twisting with the air. The different colors, shapes and sizes of these books live with the “life” of their letters. Flying Books was exhibited in 2012.
