CHOCOLATE SMOKE GANG IN THE TAMAYO MUSEUM

Chocolate Smoke Gang will perform at the Tamayo Museum on Wednesday May 7, an ensemble of free avant-garde  jazz founded in 2008, conducted by the composer and improviser Carlos Maldonado , aka “malcisne” and for his work in Los Dorados. The septet is comprised of musicians from different generations and latitudes that are a fundamental part of the jazz scene in Mexico, who play between the frontiers of free improvisation and/or controlled. Chocolate Smoke Gang invite the audience to immerse themselves in the universe of their improvisational live performances.

  • Members: Nicholas Santella on piano, Gabriel Puentes and Gustavo Nandayapa on drums, Remi Alvarez on sax tenor, Arturo Baez and Carlos Maldonado on bass.
  • Fee:
    • General $ 200 pesos
    • Credential student, teacher or INAPAM $ 150 pesos
    • The ticket includes a guided tour to the exhibition and a glass of wine.
  • Guided tours from 18:30 h.
