With a unique, funny, cool and thoughtful style, creative studio Brosmind has drawn global attention from Barcelona in recent years. Since 2006, the brothers Juan and Alejandro Mingarro have worked together professionally, creating illustrations that combine fantasy and humor. Although they had no academic training as illustrators (Juan studied pharmaceutical and Alejandro industrial design), from kids were a creative partner, so it is not surprising that 30 years after, they left their respective offices to form a professional duo.
Being brothers facilitates their work, as they share most of influences and visual references. With this, their creative and conceptual processes become similar. Each project begins with a sketch in which they both participate. Then divide the inking and digitization process. Never work with vectors, since they like to keep manual essence.
Thanks to their dedication and talent, Brosmind has been recognized with major international awards including Cannes Lion, Clio, Eurobest, Graphis, Sol, CdeC, Laus, among others. Although among their clients are brands like Nike, Microsoft, Virgin, Gillette, Honda and Volkswagen, the most interesting of their portfolios is on personal projects, a clear example of this is Why, How, What, their first art book published in 2014.
