Brendan Zhang is a photographer working in Singapore. For knowing his work, its enough to observe the use of color in his images, the mix of traditional techniques with digital retouching that direct the viewer to a specific site. His compositions are contrasting, and often plays with the saturated and empty spaces, a kind of color blocking in unusual poses that are the main element. Zhang entered into photography world at 18 years, when he entered LASALLE College of the Arts, where he majored in Interactive Media. One day, he was in a bookstore and found a copy of photographic portraits. Then he discovered his true calling. Soon he borrowed a 35mm camera and began making his first shots. Today, photography is his livelihood. He has received numerous international awards from publications in major fashion magazines in his country.
