From July 2 to September 15 this year, London will pay tribute to literature and especially to those books whose plot takes place in London or scenes containing landmarks of the British capital. Books about town is a project that was made possible by National Literacy Trust and the program Wild in Art, where was asked to various artists, both British and from other parts of the world, illustrating a open book-shaped bench placed in different London’s routes, according to the book referring that place. Thus, there are graphic designs that allude to Shakespeare, Dickens, JM Barrie, Sherlock Holmes, Jane Austen, and even Bridget Jones.
