Dosu Studio Architecture designed a complex tunnel of smart panels with  14,000 bimetallic thermal tiles. With holes drilled across each surface, where nickel and manganese with iron begin to deform creating an altered flag texture welcoming the sun and sky. The sculptural portal is constantly changing, leading design  into an innovative field of sensitive structures. Many contemporary designers and architects have developed a fascination with the structures that transform their environments. This capability can better unify the artificial elements of a site with a natural environment. “Bloom” pavilion is an experiment comparing a building with a plant, or even an animal which reacts to the amount of light and heat that touches it.
