BETWEEN LEAVES AND SNOW: AUTUMN AND WINTER 2013 TRENDS

The year end is always nostalgic and makes us think. This time, I decided to make a list of the most representative trends we have seen over the collections and the catwalks in recent months. It never hurts to take a look and rescue the looks that fascinated, caused controversy and invaded the streets of the world.

Music and fashion have always been together: Jean Paul Gaultier and the house Yves Saint Laurent took this concept seriously by reviving the grunge scruffy clothes and Flannel squares.

Stella McCartney brought back the 80’s with oversize suits, while Michael Kors raincoats provide the seriousness and elegance  worthy of October and November. Metallic textures by Balmain and Lanvin were the twinkle in the midst of melancholy.

The revolutionary air characteristic of punk, was the pretext of Versace  to use the vibrant red in raincoats. What’s more, he added attitude with vinyl jeggings. Meanwhile, Altuzarra added skirts with studs, while Cheap Chic chose long zips.

And to say goodbye to the year, the retro style was present in plaid print dresses “Vichy” by Miuccia Prada. Meanwhile Bottega Veneta’s coats were a clear reference to the 50’s.

For you, what was the strongest and original style during this season that is going out?
