Bara Prasilova studied at the Institute of Creative Photography at the Silesian University. She lives and works in Prague, Czech Republic. The main theme of her work are real memories and some fantastic stories mixed with others about what would happen if we cross the boundaries of our habits.
The magical atmosphere surrounding the photograph of Prasilova adapts to each project faced wirh the use of real props, often made by her, and by limiting to a minimum the use of digital retouching, which can be seen in the modification of the figure of the models. It is strange to see the recurring element of the feet in different positions of ballet.
The theme of this series is Evolution. This concept means developing, a sequence of events regarding the future. In view of Bara Prasilova, the future and the past are connected tightly and to step forward, it is necessary to explore the history of each.
Through this series in which dominate pastel colors, vintage clothing, smooth backgrounds and uniform lighting that creates small shadows, is perceived the need of the photographer to explain human relationships and connections: the models are alone or accompanied by children and interact with long tresses. The latter symbolize the invisible bond that we use to drop or cling to people, an emotional thread that we don’t want to lose.
