Mickael Jou spent a year for two of his passions: taking photographies and engage in dance. Now, the French-American artist has completed his first project, called 365 Self-portrait Project.
In the series he uses every day scenarios and situations, including supermarkets, museums, parks, etc. In all his photos seems to be floating, dramatically suspended in the air. What seems like a person who is hung on cables, it is actually a manipulation of photography in which the artist is placed in a position of ballet and then he superimposes the images.
Jou Mickael lives in Berlin. Previously, he danced ballet in the streets of Paris. Many people took photos and videos of him, and then he started thinking about how he could bring that to a more serious project and arose a series of photographs that we present below.
