15 years ago, valuable works of glassmaker Emile Gallé were stolen. Gallé created Art Nouveau style pieces. The remaining works will be auctioned Neumann family April 27 in Gingings medieval castle in Switzerland. Since many collectors from different countries such as France, Britain and Germany have shown their interest in participating in this auction. The lot has an approximate value of between 1 and 1.5 million Swiss francs (1.25 million euro). Lotar Neumann died at age 74 in 1992. Two years later, his wife created the Neumann Foundation with the goal of exposing the major pieces of the collection of the couple. In October 2004, during an exhibition devoted to Emile Gallé were stolen 15 pieces of collection and after the robbery, the Neumann Foundation decided to close its doors. Now fortunately, pieces may belong to collectors interested in these beautiful pieces.
