Evgeny Kazantsev presents us a series of images of the planet as we had ever seen. By edition and manipulation, the artist wants the viewer to see how would be the world: cities, nature, parks, and etcetera, if climate change continues and we persist destroying it.
In the images, we see how some places are affected by heat waves or ice storms, creating decadent and apocalyptic landscapes. One of the most impressive, features a canal in Venice without water and with gondolas in the background. It is also shocking an image of a beach where people appreciate an exposed gigantic iceberg.
This series is titled Cataclysm happens and was created to Gefest Insurance Company, a major insurer that aims to generate awareness about the environment, and show the audience the importance of being insured.
