“Creation is an uncontrolled muscle”. Arik Levy
Arik Levy is a technical artist, photographer, designer and filmmaker who was born in Tel Aviv in 1963. In 1991 he graduated as Designer with honors from Art Center Europe, in Switzerland. He has a public recognition because of his rocky shaped sculptures, installations and limited edition furniture designs. “The world is about people, not objects”, says the designer. He spent a time in Japan where he formed the concept that ideas produce pieces and he latter returned to Europe to contribute in stages of contemporary dance and opera. “Life is a system of signs and symbols,” he says, “where nothing is quite as it seems.” Levy currently lives in Paris.
