ALEXIA SINCLAIR: A FROZEN TALE

During The Age of Greatness in Sweden in the mid-17th-Century, Count Carl Gustaf Wrangel commissioned a majestic castle, the Skokloster Slott, which was built on Lake Mälaren, 80 km from Stockholm, and is considered one of the best examples of baroque architecture in Europe. The series A frozen Tale, by the artist and photographer Alexia Sinclair, weaves a narrative around some of the famous visitors of Skokloster Slott, as Queen Christina and Lorenzo Magalotti. There are also more obscure figures, depicting scenes of life in the castle as some ghostly inhabitants, caught in moments of tranquility.
