ABIN CHAUDHURI: TEMPLE OF BAMBOO

Created by the architect Abin Chaudhuri, this temple made with bamboo was originally built for a socio-religious festival in Kolkata, India, and now is part of an exhibition at the MoMA, New York, called Uneven growth: Tactical Urbanism for Expanding Megacities, to be released this November. The  temple was designed with the notion of perpetual motion as main guide, to shelter a religious idol. The idea was to create a composition full of light and color, where every visitor’s movement was important part of the vision of the structure.
