For those addicted to fashion, we recommend five cities to meet most surprising of this industry.
Considered by many as the “City of Fashion”, in it we find neighborhoods such as Via Montenapoleone and Via Santo Spirito, where major fashion houses are located. In the most common malls, one can find the leading brands at unique prices. In addition, there are two prominent fashion institutes Domus Academy, where studied Lorenza Baschieri (current Chief Designer for Versace) and the Marangoni Institute.
2. NEW YORK
The Big Apple is synonymous with fashion. The Fashion Weeks are very important and influential in this city. With all the celebrities and models walking in the street, New York is a great catwalk.
Londoner fashion is radical and edgy. The city has one of the top schools for costume design concerns: Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, site where studied John Galliano and Matthew Williamson, among others. Fashion in London is much more extreme, so you will see people dressed as anywhere else in the world.
We’ll always have Paris. The City of Light remains one of the most influential cities in this industry. The French capital has one of the best fashion schools Studio Bercot; who study here do their internship at Balenciaga, Cacharel, Chloé, Kenzo, Christian Lacroix, Yves Saint Laurent, among others. In Paris are held 15 fashion shows, plus Paris Fashion Week, which began in 1973.
In short: Via Condotti. Here you will find everything from cafés where important artists gather to talk, for example Caffé Greco, to small boutiques with interesting design proposals. Celebrities like Audry Hepburn made of this, a symbolic city.
