After designing the recognized and rewarded Dalian Library, the architectural firm 10 DESIGN has been commissioned to build the Cultural Center Xiangzhou Town in Zhuhai in Guangdong, in the south of China. The site of 50,000 square meters, will house exhibitions of art and culture. The design is planned to fit its environment, so it is divided into two buildings joined together. The first, functions as a gallery and a space for courses. And second, as a bookcase area for workshops. The facade is inspired by the landscape paintings of the Sung dynasty. The minimalist space has large windows, which allow the spectacular interior lighting at any time of day, while at night, the light inside the building is reaching out, emphasizing the space.
